I thought, and worried, that the guitar strings would not be flush with the rest of the ring. They're covered by resin or some sort of sealant. The ring is also curved on the inside for comfort.

You can easily measure your ring size at home using a strip of paper or string. Wrap the strip around your finger and mark the spot where it overlaps. Measure the length in millimeters and use a conversion chart to find your ring size. If your knuckle is much larger than the base of your finger, measure both and choose a size in between.
